In this series of tutorials, we will learn how to create a 2D looking motion graphics piece that is created primarily in CINEMA 4D.
The style of motion graphics with very flat textures is easy to achieve in a 2D software like After Effects. However, if you want 3D deformations and complex camera animation in 3D space, After Effects is nearly impossible to use. We will use CINEMA 4D to achieve the motions that we want, and overcome those 2D constraints. Using CINEMA 4D for this process takes the guess-work out of trying to achieve this look in a 2D application.
The next challenge faced, is getting the textures to still have that beautifully simple look you get with 2D motion graphics. We go over how to achieve this with ease in CINEMA 4D. Not only will you learn how to create a hybrid of your 2D and 3D skills to create amazing motion graphics but you will also learn a new mindset for how to approach things that you may have thought were too hard to do with After Effects alone.
By the end of this course, you will have created a motion graphics piece that appears to be a very advanced 2D motion design, with the ease and aid of CINEMA 4D.

Silo has a great suite of modeling tools but with this tutorial we want to introduce you to another, often overlooked, aspect of the application and those are its sculpting tools.
Before we dive in and begin sculpting we will start the course by looking at how to quickly configure Silo to work in harmony with a Wacom Cintiq. This is the hardware I will be using throughout the tutorial but its important to state that you can easily follow along using a keyboard and mouse, or any other graphics tablet.
Once the environment is set we will then take a basic Hoola Girl model and work over each element, enhancing the surface detail using just the Paint Displacement tools.You can expect to learn with this tutorial that Silo is more than just a modeling package. Its sculpting tools may be basic, but with time and effort you can achieve great results in a short amount of time.

In this set of tutorials, we’ll explore how to model a plumbing system using Revit MEP.
We’ll begin by placing some plumbing fixtures through out a simple residential project. Once fixtures are in place, we’ll then set two supply systems; the first a hot water supply and the second a cold water supply. From there we’ll learn how to model drains, vents, and stacks tying the entire system together.
After working through this tutorial, you’ll gain a solid understanding of how to create a basic plumbing system and you should be able to overcome a lot of the obstacles that modeling a 3-D plumbing system may throw at you.
